This January (2022), the Sustainability Council released it's official Sustainability Plan for the University of Delaware.  I was one of the lead co-authors and created the "E.C.O. Wheel": a wheel-like symbol that summarizes eight "Environmental Core Objectives" needed for a sustainable campus.

In an effort to help these rural villages beat the curve, Biden School colleague Talla Cisse and I teamed-up to raise funds for COVID-19 relief in Senegal. Together, our campaign raised over $4,000 to help mobilize masks, gowns, and face shields to these high-risk communities.

I am incredibly grateful to announce that I was selected to be a 2021 Ford Dissertation Fellow Alternate and awarded the status of "honorable mention."  This is the first time any graduate student from my program has achieved this!

I am happy to announce that I was fortunate enough to be selected as one of APPAM's Equity and Inclusion Fellows at their Fall Conference in D.C.

I presented research about the different policy approaches needed for rural versus urban energy insecurity at Freddie Mac's Rural Research Symposium this past November.

My mixed-methods research studying factors of the 2021 Texas blackouts was presented at two conferences this spring: Yale University's New Horizons in Conservation Conference and the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management 2021 Fall Conference (delayed to March 2022).

Projects

I presented a poster at University of Delware's ArcGIS Day Conference that visually demonstrated the relationship between opioid overdoses and Medicaid expansion status.

I was selected for the 2019 Environmental Fellowship Program hosted by Yale University (previously hosted by the University of Michigan).  Thanks to the generosity of the Mertz Gilmore Foundation, I received funding to work for the Insitute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis in Cleveland, OH.  The research conducted during my fellowship was presented at the 2019 Environmental Grantmakers Association's Fall Retreat.  I presented my findings from a cost analysis of Prairie State Coal prices in the Midwest.
